A Cut Through.

Such an interesting past Denise. Wonder what they would think of life now. Great work on those windows and the perspective.

What a task painting that with all those windows! Very well done!!

Wow, Denise! You're not afraid of work, are you? The perspective in this was very, very difficult, and in places, it shows - but you weren't after an architectural drawing, and it just doesn't matter a bit - you've got the sweep of this street, the sense of space, and perspectival oddities all add to the quirkiness and history of the buildings. You wouldn't have got that life and interest with a more academic study - they have their place, of course, but so have more free interpretations. It all works very well.

Is it Manchester Denise? It speaks to me of Manchester.

Like this a lot Denise it really well drawn with just the right amount of detailing any more and it would look overdone I think. You should be proud of your home city Liverpool had given a lot to this country and not just the Beatles .

Love the reflections in the windows. They really make the buildings come to life!

Marvelous painting Denise of these factory windows, and historical preface too! Amazing detail and structure, well painted and expressed!

Thanks very much Carole, David, Robert, Marjorie, Paul, Linda and Angela. Yes, it was a difficult task once I had begun. Yet, I really enjoyed doing it.

A lot of detailed work Denise. Well done.

Many tricky perspectives, hats off to you Denise

Great work. The looming buildings immediately put me in mind of some of De Chirico's disquieting themes (just needs the shadow of a fleeing figure :-)

This is stunning, Dense.

Brilliant work Denise. Great perspective and detail.

Much appreciated Kal, Heather, Martin, Ellen and Spencer.

I can see a lot went into this Denise and I like the result. I like your sense of connection with the history/social history. I can identify with such thoughts and feelings.

Lovely urban scene, captured perfectly Denise.

These buildings were built in the 1800 hundreds sometime. I often walk though as a short cut to town. It is very quiet and built on a curve. It really does take me back in history. They could have been, cotton or tobacco factories or early storage. I wonder about the lives of workers who may have worked in them and walked down the very street. What they thought about and such. Nothing grand to look at but I really do love the architecture around the city. Soft pastel.
