sHe Bites the Apple
“sHe bites the Apple” is meant to be provocative. The painting is about the fall and the redemption of humans. Adam and Eve figures made with roses and stems of thorns. I made Adam’s figure in Auguste Rodin’s the “thinker” pose with partly eaten apple in his hand depicting his remorse after biting the apple. I added a touch of humour by painting a squirrel and a cat with their jaw-dropping expressions to show their surprise to human’s disobedience to their creator by biting the forbidden apple.
