Hot shoeing by Elizabeth Turner
Watercolour sketch 15" by 15". This was very difficult as periodically the whole stable filled with dense smoke from the hot shoe being placed on the hoof. Sponging and remodelling the horse gave an interesting grainy texture to the paper which mirrored the effect of the smoke.
