Elizabeth Turner

Born 1955 in Colchester. Colchester School of Art 1974. Norwich School of Art 1975-78 BA Hons. I began my career as a book illustrator and have worked for many leading publishers including Readers Digest, Hamlyn and Countrylife publications. In 1981 I held my first solo exhibition of equestrian paintings at the Digby Gallery in Colchester. This exhibition launched my career as an equestrian artist and in 1986 I was given my first London show at the Arthur Ackermann Gallery in Bond Street. As one of Ackermann’s gallery artists my work has been purchased by international customers and I have paintings in collections in the UK, Spain, America and Australia. I live in Norfolk, a beautiful landscape of endless inspiration. My subject matter can be anything I see in the landscape that catches my interest although animals still feature strongly in my paintings. My most recent work can be viewed on this website.
