I have commented already Nicola , but it keeps catching my eye, I hope your not offended by this , to me it has a old masters look . The way its painted just reminds me of family paintings you see in stately homes etc , the paintings that catch your eye and you look at for a while. Superb.

The way you have moved from the detail in the face to a looser approach as you move out is hardly noticeable but very effective. An excellent painting.
