Unusual but excellent palette Helen. I like the suggestion of the pattern of his suit and the blue reflected throughout.

Water soluble pencils (orange and blue) on a reddish brown pastel paper. My gt. uncle was an archaeologist, and preserver of antiquities. Reference photo from the family box of stuff… probably taken around 1920’s
