Tessa, I took a small sketchbook and a few pens on holiday last January, and rather than sketch the local scenes, I doodles patterns and such. Each one very different depending on what kind of a mood I was in. Even did a workshop on it at art club (should have seen their confused faces at the beginning… 😂)

Painting has taken a back seat for much of this year, and in my (little) spare time I’ve been doodling patterns, They start out as nothing - a few shapes, squiggles, lines - then just/grow over time. Fineliner pens, alcohol markers, and white pen, on a very cheap scrapbooking book.
