I've read your new bio - it resonated with me: I almost never enter competitions, I'm not interested in being shown in galleries, particularly those that always want the same thing, I've opted out of the rat-race element of arty life... for fear I should end up like an artist I knew, who came to hate his work and despised himself for painting what he called "product". If it weren't for fishing, which gave him respite and peace, he'd have been the saddest man I ever knew. This is a fine piece of work, a simple subject but with so many layers of interest.
