Superb painting.

I struggle with hog hair maybe I should persist if I could get this lovely result!

Thank you all. Even a couple of weeks I was the same with hog hair brushes Heather, but I tried them using thinner paint mixtures and using a layering techinque and they give a sketchiness and movement to paintings I can't seem to get with normal brushes. It's actually kick started me into being excited by painting again, which if nothing else is great!

Really nice. I love the brush marks for the drapery

Wonderful, expressive brush strokes and the hair is amazing.

Not so long ago, I ransacked my paintbrush collection in a kind of frenzied hog hair brush genocide. My thinking being that they were evil and were part of the reason why there are so many things wrong with the world. Fast forward to now though and I now basically love them. Who knew?
