Watercolor, 22" by 18", on Arches hot pressed paper. I painted this a few years back, on hot pressed paper, which I seldom use. At the time I was so unsure of what I was doing and how the paint handled on the smooth paper. Now looking at it, I see all the brush strokes (which is why I prefer cold pressed, not paper, or rough. However, I remember I painted this all in one go, and there is a expressive quality, a looseness about it that I hope to learn from for another time.....
