The nodes all work except as you say Nancy the hat and face are not as clearly defined. It is a smashing exercise done well

Watercolor, a portrait of my sister Susan, playing guitar outside, in Maine, at the beach on a sunny afternoon. Trying for less is more. just nodal points or what will tell you a sleeve, or hat. My own criticism, the brim of hat I filled in (uggh) and her face in shadow, needs something, and eye glasses don't read so well...will have to try again. Painted in one go around, in a few hours...tried not to overwork it
