Looks great Nancy more than a warm up me thinks. Lovely granulation I see possibilities, is it a Daniel Smith pigment?

Nice colourful Painting Nancy

Lovely Nancy with beautiful transitions

Not being afraid of using black (many people are)..this is good Nancy. Nice effect and good experimenting.

I like the look of this already Nancy.

Thanks Barry. Yes it is Daniel Smith Lunar Black. I put that down first and ran a lot of water thru it, which caused all the cool granulation. Let it dry. Then dropped in other colors. Added a little more black to the rocks at the end, truly an experiment, from memories of lakes, woods, etc. not from a photo.

Thank you Dennis, Dennis, Fiona, appreciate your kind comments, always. And Jim, yes I bought two tubes of black paint. After doing a lot of black and white value portraits over the summer, I decided I want to use it and experiment with black in landscapes. ! why not, something to learn ... :)

Beautiful effects Nancy!

Watercolor, experimenting with a new tube of lunar black, which really granulates! Just a warm up exercise, made up scene. 9 x 11"
