superb painting Murray, proper english climate and colour, well done :)

The letterbox format works very well - I feel like I want to step into the painting and explore that countryside.

Coo..... not a very profound artistic comment, I know; but that's how I feel. Excellent painting - and however good Artisan oils are (I've always had my doubts!) it's the artist who makes the painting.

I love Dartmoor for the wide sweeping landscapes and being there when the wind blows away the cobwebs, The ever changing conditions and big skies are a delight to me not to mention the patchwork of cultivated land changing to the surrounding wilds, If I didn't live on the Isle of Wight I would like to live on Dartmoor!

This is the third of my 900 x 300 Dartmoor National Park series, the fourth and final one will feature the Gunpowder factory workers cottages. It is painted in the wonderful 'Artisan' water mixable oils on a stretched canvas.
