Lovely picture. Love the subtle under tints.

I think your price is fine. It is too low a quoted price which 'cheapens' a picture. However the gallery commission should not be added on, but should be included in quoted price. Better to find a market and accept slim profit margins rather than no sale? I definitely wouldn't have painted anything in the bottom L hand corner! If anything I might have tried to emphasise slightly in some way that lovely sweep of brightness in the sky in order to realise a good composition. Lovely watercolour technique.

Watercolour on half imperial 640 gsm Fabriano Not paper. Looking west across the front/east elevation of the sailing club. This is a must for all Howard's Way officianados! Comments welcome, particularly on my decision to leave the bottom left hand corner unpainted and pricing. Am I not selling because I'm too expensive? Do I drop my prices and risk being perceived as a hobby painter? If I exhibit the shop they need to take 40% of a sale price, and framing needs to be borne in mind. If I were to realise £120 for this which is my price for a half imperial size, it would need to be exhibited for something in the region of £200. Unreasonable? Discuss.
