Nice work Philip, although I would have thought the large building would have cast more of a shadow onto the road.

Nicely pastoral and gentle treatment of this pretty scene.

Watercolour on Langton Prestige 300 gsm NOT 355 x 254mm Picturesque, and often overlooked Wickham, north of Fareham, and sitting in the fork of the Winchester and Alton roads in the beautiful Meon Valley. Wanted to achieve a sense of recession with blue/green trees pushing forward red brick cottages and a suggestion of the hand rails to the foreground, which on their own aren't very pretty but hopefully provide some depth to the painting.
