Doing a painting card for a work colleague who is a keen and talented golfer is always going to involve doing a golf scene! This one is Belton Woods Grantham where he goes each year. I used a restricted palette of colours based on Windsor blue with Cadmium yellow for the trees and thickens the shadows with the Windsor blue and sepia. It was a quick paint over two evenings with the lilies on the water giving me a hard time. No masking fluid so pleased that the definition achieved has been quite sharp.
