The only way for me to go anywhere towards portraits is to attempt to use my imagination on how to bring life and movement into a painting. I copied a photograph and for me the splash of the pink in the foreground by the kart came out just I wanted by simply adding water to the wet colour wash. I appreciate that the subject matter is perhaps unusual but for me painting has endless possibilities!
