An experiment for me in so many ways and based on a photograph. I was keen to try to keep the vibrancy that comes from a guitar played as part of a live pub band experience. At the time I finished the painting my younger daughter was going out with a young man in a band who had just graduated with a music technology degree and I gave him the original in a frame. I think he couldn't understand why. Perhaps sometimes creativity with art is different from that of music?
