Sunlit woods

Well I like it as is , but if you want to change it darken the shade with a touch of purple added to the greys. You could also remove some of the paint with clean water to represent the streaks of light coming through the trees it would mean taking a bit of colour off and between the trees . Hope this is helpful and it’s definitely not a criticism of your painting.

Thank you Paul. Just what I need. Much appreciated. Take care. Mike

Hi Mike. A good painting but I agree with Paul. Remove some of the paint with water to represent the streaks of light emerging through the trees. It does work - I’ve just done it with one of my paintings where too much pigment stuck on a section.

Thank you Spencer. Common theme 😀

An attempt to capture a scene of sunlight streaming through the woods. Part of this I quite like, but I don’t think I have captured the softness of the glow. I would REALLY appreciate critiques of what I might have done to improve that softness in particular. Thanks.
