Love it Michael a superb work and accomplished with mastery

A quickie but a goodie Michael!

A lovely village scene Michael. I do like the building mix of colours to the left and as for the man, well I thought that he was checking his phone for messages. Very up to date!

The figure works and is OK. I probably would have given him a companion ( 3 over 2), but it's a fine piece Michael

Quick but skillful Michael, I like the inclusion of the chap...as Sarahs said, he could be checking his messages.

Thanks all - perhaps another figure as you suggest Derek - I left out all the traffic - yes that's a main road in front of the shops - but then i studied for my artists licence and left it out and it's allowed !

A quiet Sunday morning stroll to get the morning paper, in traffic free Market Harborough. Lovely painting in a lovely setting, needs no more or none less. Love it just the way it is.

Lovely picture.

Love the brickwork on the church Michael. Judging by the shadows, the sun must have been in the East, so very, very early in the day.

Another lovely village scene. All those shops look so complicated , excellent Michael.

Thanks all - actually i worked from a photo taken on a dull day - I prefer dull days for this purpose as the definitions are more evident in the photo than when we have dark shade and areas of light - also i like to put in the shadows to suit the composition rather than to replicate actuality. Hope this makes sense.

A lovely addition to your village series Michael.

This is beautiful Michael, love it :)

Thanks val and Maria - the church has such lovely coloured stonework I never tire of painting it.<br />

Quickie or not, it&#39;s a lovely sunny scene Michael. The figure is fine, just walking there checking his FB page. The brickwork of the church wall is fantastic and I love the shadow of the tree.

Lovely painting, Michael. You are very clever in painting buildings.

Glad you have returned to your beautiful watercolours

I&#39;m okay with the figure Michael, and I like this quickie immensely.

Beautifully luminous washes, with a strong composition and lovely atmosphere.

Thanks Satu,Cesare, Pat and Seok. Pat - I haven&#39;t given up on waterco;ours and will still keep painting them but I must say I find abstracts a lot more fun and they do seem to be more popular.

Nice one MIchael

Fantastic watercolour as always Michael

Well, I like this strong image. Gorgeous colour use as usual.

Another quickie - wish I'd left out the central figure - he really was holding his hands like the presenter from 'Homes Under The Hammer' - never mind it was more a practice piece to keep my hands in having been distracted elsewhere f late.
