Coastal Art - Latest Fish Sculpture

Coastal Art - Latest Fish Sculpture
Comments

I love coastal art and my house has quite a bit of it dotted around some of the rooms. I mostly pick the pieces up on my travels to the seaside and would certainly have homed in on this lovely piece if I had seen it in a shop. The fish has a great expression on it's face which gives it a rather jolly character.

Glad you like it Thea - I have problems locating the driftwood living inland as I do but as long as I get a few bits now and then it provides a nice diversion from watercolours.

I love it, the fish that is, Michael! There is something primitive in it which is very appealing.

Love the concept of these, I imagine they are very tactile.

Thanks all - yes very tactile - I want to stroke/pat them every time I pass one - not that I would want to stroke/pat a real fish.

Super stuff, Michael! I rather love the image of the fish against the backdrop. Lovely work.

I do like your fish Michael. This year should be good for driftwood......!! if you can find it amongst all the plastic .

Has a slightly startled "fish out of water" look to me Michael :) I envy your knack of turning driftwood into tactile artistic sculptures, I love them. ( and your helebores )

Obviously a man of many talents ! Wish I had your creativity to do things like this. ( Love your hellebores as well; these I do have - well did, in my front garden, only someone else liked them as well apparently, this morning all the flowers had been picked off. Grrrrrr.)

Thanks again all - think this may have found a home following viewing later today.

Here's the latest - a bit bigger than usual. Took advantage of the weather and photo'd it in the garden complete with helebores - not sure if fish like them but I do do. Looks better when enlarged - the picture that is. Hope you like it - the sculpture that is.
