It's gorgeous Michael, lovely watercolour scene from your sketch the other day, didn't take you long to come up with this lovely painting, love the clean lines of the church and the looseness of your washes in the trees

I agree with Ros-very nice pure watercolour.I particularly like your variety of greens-a good result from your sketch.Well done Michael.

Super work once again Michael, I suppose it's hard to know how much art

Super work once again Michael, I suppose it's hard to know how much artistic licence you can use with a commission, I'm afraid I'm still waiting for my licence after over twenty years!

Michael, I really envy your ability to turn a simple sketch into such a lovely painting in such a short time!

Superb as usual, Michael; we have come to expect nothing less!

Beautiful. Your greens are always so good.

Thanks everyone - I do appreciate your kind comments - as for the Artistic licence I do have one and will post a copy if I can find it.

Beautiful work Michael! Super colours with all those different greens and a lovely loosely painted sky.

Thanks Gudrun - lush was the word I was looking for!

Very lovely light filled painting. Beautiful greens which are full of life and variation.

Thanks again for the further comments - regarding time it doesn't take that long to produce a watercolour - I usually do them in one sitting - this one, for example, took about 3 hours allowing for washes to dry, and cups of coffee.

Just wonderful

A really stunning piece, Michael! Beautiful light, wonderful atmosphere, just super!

really like the sky, and also the whole picture.

A classic! Such a typical English scene so beautifully painted. The sky and trees seem to be effortless and convey the essence of an English summer. (In the eyes of an ex-pat!!)

Thank you Michael for commenting on my painting. Looking at your fantastic portfolios I am flattered that you took the time to comment and liked my painting. You are an incredibly talented artist. I love the way your colours blend on the paper. Do you mix them on the palette or on the paper by touch mixing?? Either way they are wonderful. Jean
