Like this Michael. Have you "done" Birstall? I had my daughter whist we lived there.....oh a long time ago.

Another very pretty village scene Michael.

I like it very much Michael! The dominant wall has a beautiful colour and the trees a very attractive mixture of blue and green.

Splendid work Michael, a worthy addition to your Leicestershire Villages group of paintings, you have a great way of painting windows

Thanks all. Sylvia - no I haven't painted Birstall although I do know many of the Art Group members from there. I live in the south of the county in the Harborough district (there are 7 Districts) in which there are nearly 100 villages and I am painting them for a website which covers the Harborough district and now nearly half way there but it will still take some time - quite a task!

Crisp clean and wonderful.

Another lovely painting, love the colours.

A super piece, Michael, a lovely composition, and as always, excellent clean washes.

Wonderful sky and I do like the way the boundary between the sky and the tree is blurred to make them merge. The softness in this area contrasts very nicely with the crispness of the buildings.

Thanks all - now to get on with another one.

Another good village scene to add to your series Michael, nice wet in wet sky and the architecture works well. perhaps the tree could be a tad stronger in tone? Or perhaps it would fight for attention with the buildings?

Lovely tones in the buildings Michael and I really like the dark passages they make the whole painting sing.
