Lovely clear fresh washes and a light touch. Well up to your usual high standard Michael.

I would be happy with this, Michael...

You have made a good effort here Michael and your individual style is there also which is good to see.

Thanks each. Probably a bit more work on the spire and some adjustment to the foreground buidling extension - the side wall is going up-hill! Also a bit more foliage in the distant trees - perhaps a closer smaller shrub peeking over the wall a bit to one side. Easy to see it all when it's on screen.

Lovely. Wish I could produce a beautiful painting like this in a few hours.

It is interesting to see all the different interpretations of this scene. I think this one is the best I have seen so far, but then I wouldn't expect any less from you Michael!!

Another beautiful watercolour Michael

Thanks Avril, Thea, and Petra - your comments are so much appreciated

Superb, Michael! I love the way the lines unite the entire painting.

Stuck this morning for something to paint and remembered seeing several versions of this on POL - my sort of subject so thought I'd have a go. Managed to get a copy of LP but not easy relying on a small photo which I had not taken but it kept me off the streets for 2/3 hours. Kept it reasonably true to the photo as far as I could make it out. Colours used: ultramarine, raw and burnt sienna, cobalt blue, light red, sap green and a bit of burnt umber. Given the limitations I guess the result is reasonable although a bit tight. Probably destined for the big box in the studio - at least I know where Great Baddow is now ....http://www.michaeledwardsartist.co.uk/index.html .
