Good watercolour Michael....I like these sort of subjects.......

Lovely bright, clean washes as usual Michael and the sky has a nice glow. Perhaps the windows stand out a little?

It's a lovely watercolour Michael and I have tried to find the troublespot for you. For me there is something with the gate and the curve of the lane. Perspective? As you said we cannot win every time but I still think this is a lovely, calm painting.

I can't find anything wrong with it Michael, apart from the near left hand tree. On some of your previous village compositions with a similar tree, they have been rich and dark in tone. I still think it is a super watercolour.

Nothing wrong with it Michael, really like the touch of dark in the path leading you into the painting.

I like these rural, village scenes, especially sunny ones Michael, also your background trees, lovely shades.

The only thing that occurred to me was the same as Fiona, that left hand foreground tree needs deeper tones IMHO, but then who I am to criticise, I would be over the moon if I managed to produce a village scene half as good as this.

Thanks everyone - still not convinced with one - also had a few pictures on display at an event over the weekend and nothing sold - first time for quite a while - and now have to get up the enthusiasm to pick up the brushes again - I need some inspirartion!

I like this, Michael, it has a light and breezy atmosphere that's very appealing.
