Certainly do like it Michael! I agree with you regarding the aray of texture opportunities in ruins, up here there are lots of old croft ruins with broken down stone walls, rusty corrugated iron roofs and old bits of timbers. Just wish I could capture all this and do it justice as you have.

Absolutely love this, Michael. I think this ranks as one of my favorites in your very accomplished gallery. There's a lot of tension around the centre of interest, which holds the viewer's eye, especially the irregular shapes of the ramshackle huts and the lovely recession of trees. It's a super piece!

Lovely, Michael. What wonderful tales this old place could tell if only it could talk. You've really done it proud in this painting.

Thank you all for your very kind comments - Yes it probably can tell a few tales especially late a night (very late at night) after a few drinks (many drinks) following a win at the adjacent cricket ground !!

Very nice, loose image.

This is wonderful. I'd rather see an old interesting shed than a stately home on canvas or paper any day. It looks so simple but I am sure I could never capture this subject so well with a few lines and brushstrokes as you have done.

Being a "pen and wash"-person myself, I like this very much: the subject is super and perfectly executed! Love it!

Thanks Stephen Mia and Siv for your kind comments

This ruin is next to a cricket pitch in the village of Mowsley. I have done several old dilapidated buildings such as this - I love the old textures and contrasts with light and dark - hope you like it too.
