Lovely city scene, Michael.

Lovely Red Leicester stone.... we lived for a few years in Birstall , have you ever painted there ?

.....And some great figure work as well. Certainly brings it to life.

Thanks Cesare, Sylvia and Sharon. No never painted in Birstall but I do know members of the Soar Valley art group who are based there.

Another good addition to your local series Michael.

That threesome are exploring an area you know and paint very well Michael

Always a joy to see your local scenes Michael! This one is full of beautiful light and the figures are a plus+

Thanks for commenting Derek, Satu and Stephen. The uprights are a bit distorted thanks to camera angle - please forgive.

I too love your local scenes Michael they are expertly painted

A lovely painting Michael, such a pretty place.

Instantly recognisable Michael and your three figures lead the eye in nicely.

Cheers Dennis, Linda, Margaret and Frank - your kind comments are much appreciated.

Lovely Summer scene Michael.

Happy and bright and full of space if that makes sense.

Splendid joy filled image Michael great Pallette

I really should think about adding figures to paintings, they add that something extra to make the painting all the more successful. Lovely scene and composition Michael.

They do Fiona, try it. The three still EXPLORING Michael?

Ta all - yes Derek, still exploring - they are probably on a JOURNEY

Hi Michael thank you very much for your comments on my latest . You're spot on with the tree colours and well spotted very impressive they are indeed Raw sienna , ultramarine and burnt umber . I love raw sienna it's a marvellous colour for mixes , I know a female artist over here in her 80 's who has never used yellow or mixes using yellow in any painting , she always uses raw sienna in various mixes for all her greens as she paints landscapes and her work is superb .

Thanks Dermot - the colours do indeed work so well and are part of my basic palette.

Running out of subjects and so little time to fit in painting etc so snatched time to do another local scene.
