Thanks both - Derek: Cosian is an invented word to provide a title without leading the viewer in any direction leaving it up to the viewer to interpret, Dennis: thanks for your comments against my Christmas card for 2011 - there is a bit of a story behind this and I'll post it when get a bit of time

Lovely, Michael, reminds me of plant life as well, the shape on the left is a bit orchid like. Especially <br />Iike the right hand half of the painting, though, which would make a really striking picture on its own!

You are all very kind and so pleased it is so well received - I am now painting these much larger - my latest is 3 ft long and they do take up space but so envigorating to paint. Also I do make such a mess and have to wash walls, floors, and worktops - haven't got it on the ceiling yet but there's still time.
