The colours are lovely they draw the eye into the distance where your imagination can be let loose.

This is a super semi-abstract, Michael. It gives the impression of a lot of depth. Great colours.

Thank you so much Julia and Mia.

Forgive me for wanting ship out there Michael, but I suppose that's what abstract paintings do, lead our individual imaginations. Nice work anyway.

Thanks Jim. That's what I love about abstracts - the way they are interpreted. just a few colours placed on the support and because of the colours used the assumption is that it is a seascape despite the foreground green which isn't usually associated with the beach.

Fantastic work, Michael. The more I look the more I see a landscape in winter, with the greens giving way to the brightness of a winter scene. However, I can see elements of the coast peeping through as well. The colours work a treat and the impression of vastness is almost overpowering. Bri

Thanks Brian for your generous words - I love painting these sort of scenes but find little time with my watercolour commitments. Hope to be doing more in the near future.

Hi -thank you for your comment on my painting - did you mix the oil with cold wax for this lovely painting Edward ?

Thanks Lynne - no this was acrylic on board with no additives - I tend to apply the acrylic direct and then spread it with both spatulas and brushes as the mood takes me. For softer work I use a damp/wet ladies blusher brush gently applied across the surface.

This is beautiful, Michael and it caught my eye immediately. Fabulous colours. It feels tranquil.

Thanks Ellen - so pleased it appeals to you.
