Such simple shapes making a satisfying picture.

The whole point about any painting is 'does it spark your interest?' This does. Although 'abstract' is not my thing, I do look at them, here and elsewhere. At this rate, Micheal, you'll have a convert on your hands.

Thanks so much Sylvia and Lewis. Lewis to even have you looking at my work is rewarding - to think that you just might even get to like abstracts is praise indeed - thank you.

Nice painting Michael it looks like folded material, on the subject of abstracts I watched some videos last night about the art of ain't pouring and some of the effects were spectacular, have you ever seen how its done.

I agree with Lewis comment regarding <does it spark your interest ?>. This certainly does Michael.

Thanks Dennis Dennis and Sarah. Yes I've seen some of the pour abstracts and might just have a go. I've tried it by mixing ordinary acrylic with PVA - very messy - but never with actual pour acrylics. I see they are now in Bromleys catalogue and I had a couple of Bromleys vouchers for Christmas so maybe sometime soon.

Music, Michael, music is what it says to me.

A lovely easy flow to this like music in the air Michael.

Clever stuff Michael. Good design and movement :)

Wow, Michael, this is so different and so pleasing to the eye. I love the fluent lines, subtle colours and the overall harmony of it.

Marjorie, Carole and Louise - thanks to you all and yes I hadn't seen it but music - Tried it out in a white frame and looks good - might permanently mount it for a forthcoming exhibition with The Harborough cluster.

Thanks Satu - I did a series of three - not a lover of oils but love using them this way - great fun to do.

This reminds me sheet music. Excellent.

Thanks Ellen - it still has a 'working' title but maybe sheet music or something similar will fit it nicely.

I really like this, Michael, lovely limited palette and it has a really musical quality to it.

Thanks Jenny - yes just three colours used.

Plenty in this piece Michael. Makes me think of music.

Thanks so much John - although not done intentionally music seems to be the common interpretation.

As I've said before Michael, I'm not really into abstracts but there is something about your work that intrigues me. As soon as I saw this I thought of music (and I see Marjorie felt the same) I like the red which seems to lift it and I do like this very much!

Great piece Michael. Not sure if you are supposed to 'see' something in an abstract but this does suggest sheet music to me also.

Lovely fluid lines and like that touch of red. Yes I too think of music.

Thank you Margaret, Russell and Sandra - I guess it is up to the viewer to see something in any abstract and usually I get quite a few suggestions - but with this one it seems to universally 'music'.

I really like this Michael. The eyes just flow along the lines and I love the textures

Thanks Diana - I use all manner of objects to get these lines including forks, toy aeroplanes and kitchen cutters - strange is the world of the artist.

Lovely use of lines and textures, Michael. Super piece.
