This is lovely, Michael. A sense of peace and tranquillity, and the light breaking through is special. Beautiful effects and mood have been created. Your painting yesterday was also very good. I hope you're coming through.

Hello ann. Thankyou for the very nice comment. People with mental health issues often have a sense of isolation. Drinking this morning was a mistake i regret. I rarely drink but my emotions needed dampening. Still its unlike me to seek solace in the bottle. I should have played my guitar instead.

Dreamy Michael, hope you feel much better tonight ;)

Yes Michael, a sense of isolation can create a heartbreaking and tortuous feeling of detachment and loneliness. It's good that perhaps your struggles have enabled you to be creative, and develop an art that gives pleasure to others. Hang on to that, and think of it as your friend, and therefore you are not alone. Your paintings are individualistic and interesting, and lead to a need to interpret. They are good. I shall look forward to more of them.

I wrote a long thankyou but unfortunately it didnt go through.

That's fine, Michael. Don't worry.

Painted whilst quite enebriated searching for the inner light. Will sober up shortly.

About the Artist
Michael Hanrahan

I love art but it's very much up and down as I go about my day to day life as a painter and often I really struggle to paint therefore I fall out with it. You're only as good as your last painting as they say. My greatest love is music and I prefer to write classical music for orchestra than paint…
