I like the effects here Michael and the use of the blues, which you don't usually use. I 'm looking far into the distance where the light is just catching what I see as trees and maybe buildings.

Thankyou marjorie i did use more blue in this picture but actually i dont have much of a methodical way of working. I grab the first tube i see and just fling the colour about. Its quite an eccentric way i have.

All i really look for is balance. Balance of colour, balance of composition. Its all abit like i just take pot luck.

Well Michael, although mine are much more figurative ( and sometimes I wish they weren't ) I also judge by eye and whether the balance of colour or tone feels right. I'm struggling with a painting at the moment!

Im sure your painting will work out fine marjorie. I tend to dash pictures off without too much struggle only to then change my mind about its quality and paint over the entire canvas within a few weeks.
