Like this a lot Michael, superb colours, why not copy the master so much to learn from his work, I’m looking forward to seeing some of your pieces.

Thankyou paul and yes I agree with you. I enjoy painting ( when it goes according to plan haha ) and to be honest I dont think ive made enough copies of various masters, its the best way to learn. I was full of admiration for a youtube artist who devoted many years to copying even though people told him it was time to do his own thing. I for one admired him.

You've caught light - as you so often do. Not sure I'd dare to try copying Turner - I don't think I could reach that high: but you're obviously a braver man than I am.

I might aswell give it that title. I merely intended to paint a landscape to the best of my ability but yet again that old devil is there. I often try things which might detract from the turner look but usually in vain. It doesn't matter. Maybe I ought to do some actual copies of some his work. I cant remember doing that.
