Nothing wrong with poems, Michael, when accompanying art work: and you might even set a trend; I only write doggerel, some of which isn't fit for the delicate eyes of POL, but I admire poets who can convey meaning in just a few lines. I'm interested in your music too - if you have recordings or a website, do post a link.

I wrote a poem to go with it. I know this is not a site for poems but I do write poetry and so here it is. I have a vision of the sea I know what will be will be As the sea rolls on Crashing like a thunderous peal Calming like a slowing wheel Dashing here and there Keeping within its walls a kingdom A world of colour and power Raging with a voice that storms More sturdy than any tower Yet appeasing my spirit When spreading like a glassy sheet And I feel brave enough to wet my feet.

I love art but it's very much up and down as I go about my day to day life as a painter and often I really struggle to paint therefore I fall out with it. You're only as good as your last painting as they say. My greatest love is music and I prefer to write classical music for orchestra than paint…
