Hamlet at the elsinorian gates

A powerful painting Michael

Quite evocative of an aura being released from an old hamlet as though the body had been consumed in a fire and a charred fragment of the remains is observing the spirit rising up through the open ceiling.. evocative of whoever was dwelling in the Hamlet was being released from their charred remains. Kind of ephemeral like the earth alters but regenerates even after a drought or fire as what was consumed passes over into another form, and the formless reincarnates.

Agree with every word Angela has written. This is really special, Michael. Brings S to life so brilliantly

Superb painting Michael.

Michael, this is brilliant. One of your best.

Love the textures and light achieved

Wonderful Michael. So atmospheric. Great textures. The way you use light and colour is masterful!

Beautiful and ethereal, Michael.
