Thankyou for all the kind comments. I worked very hard at this painting. Sadly though I fear my work has become alot more conventional. I was looking at some old work yesterday from 2 to 4 years ago. Even though it was far less detailed I liked the suggestion of objects and I'm unhappy with the direction my art has gone in.

This painting is wonderful. I think we all go through different phases of painting and it shows all your different SKILLS and moods. Sometimes it is good to discipline yourself with more conventional methods. I still think this has your dramatic mark on it and you should not be disappointed - infact proud that you can master it. Look what Picasso,Turner and many other greats did.
