Always best to go straight in with the ink and not make tentative pencil marks - an effective drawing of a quite complicated scene; I like the way you've focussed attention on the bridge by understating the large tree on the right, which would otherwise have pulled the picture in half.

Yes - so well drawn - I've been painting today - walls! Looking forward to getting away and doing sketches now that you have inspired me.

Another great sketch Mia.

Lovely Drawing Mia the composition and balance are perfect

Lovely work - you have an eye for a good sketch Mia.

Robert, as usual got there first and has summed it up prefectly!

Lovely pretty scene, the bridge caught my eye then I spotted the lovely cottages in the distance. Great drawing Mia!

Thank you all so very much for your lovely and positive comments. I think the reflections of the bridge in the water are not quite correct, but I was afraid of overdoing the darks.

Lovely scene with lots of detail although including it all hasn't made the drawing fussy at all - just made it more interesting.

It's lovely to see you back at your art, Mia! This is excellent - superb tone, composition and linework. Beautifully done.

Thanks Thea and Seok. Your comments are highly appreciated.

Just love these sketches.

I made this today. It took me about 1 hour. I started immediately with my Staedler Point 88 marker in ink and then gave it a little wash here and there with my waterbrush. Some details in ink were added afterwards. Thanks for having a look and all comments are very, very welcome. :) Mia
