PS. Looking for the original photo I made the sketch from, I discovered that it was made after a watersoluble pencil painting by Tim Fisher. I hope he is not going to charge me for copyright theft!!!

We are not going to tell him Thea and as far as you don't sell it you're safe. It's a lovely painting with soft and gentle colours and I like it! Michael will too.

It's a very pretty image Mia, I like the way that you've painted the flowers in the foreground. (I'm no copyright expert but I think you'll be ok so long as you don't offer it for sale and acknowledge the fact !)

This is just as charming as the pencil sketch Mia. Knowing Tim, I'm sure he won't mind in the least.

Isn't it funny how different our respective versions are - and both based on the same sketch - love your version and do keep wielding the brush now that you are back in the swing of things

Charming scene and made all the better with your lovely use of pen and subtle watercolour washes.

Thank you very much Satu, Louise, Frank and Michael for your positive comments. You are right, Michael, they are completely different and I think that is the beauty of it: starting from the same sketch and then the result is so surprising. We should do more of those challenges!

Thanks Thea, I always appreciate your positive comments.

Very nice work Mia, I especially like the way you have portrayed the cottage.

Yes, charming and I like your textures and colours. The different outcomes are what fuels art. There are infinite ways of approaching things. That's exciting.

Great drawing and lovely Spring-like colours Mia.

The soft delicate washes coupled with your expert use of the pen Mia make for a very beautiful painting.

Thank you very much Stephen, Gudrun, Carole and Val for your lovely comments.

Beautiful work, Mia! The palette and atmospheric feel of the piece is superb!

Thanks Seok. I really do appreciate your comments.

This is the coloured version of my 'Just a sketch', challenged by Michael Edwards. As usual, I made a pen and wash, using an Artline marker 0,4 to make the drawing. I hope you all and especially Michael like it. All comments very welcome. Thanks
