A lovely subject and so delicately drawn, Mia. Of the two I prefer this one for some reason - maybe it looks a little more rustic with the brown wash.

I think both of your latest postings are excellent Mia, but like Jane I prefer this one.

A softer, more autumnal feel to this one for me. Could almost be a scene with snow on the ground. I think I prefer this one, but it is marginal. Both are wonderful examples or skillful and restrained penwork.

I think that this is lovely too

Beautiful!

It is very interesting to read all your comments and why you prefer this one or the other one. Thank you all very much for this lovely feedback.

Thank you very much, Kirstie. I always appreciate your comments!

This one's my favourite too, like the touches of warmth and the sensitive feel to this painting.

Such a delightful scene; I don't know which I like best as you made them quite different . The composition is great - I'll have to wander down this lane.......

Thank you very much, Lesley and Avril, for those positive comments.

Two lovely pieces of work again Mia.

Thanks, Denise, I appreciate your comment very much!

I did the same view but made the drawing with a Conte pencil - pierre noire. For the wash, I used Payne's Grey (W&N) and Van Dyck brown.
