Oh but lovely Mia! Sky not over done at all. Seems we've found a new medium to work with :)

Love this Mia...love charcoal!

Yes, I would have preferred the sky left as the white paper but the drawing is absolutely lovely. It has a delicate feel and yet the actual drawing of the buildings is quite bold. My eyes travel up the track towards the village and then travel round nicely! That's good composition and the medium suits!

Thank you very much Carole, Dennis, Thalia and Louise for your nice comments. Yes, Louise, I agree about the sky but I couldn't take it off!!

Beautiful work Mia, I like the grass on the foreground.

Lovely work Mia. I must dig out my tinted charcoal, hardly ever used!

Interesting pencils, I must try these tinted charcoal one's, nice work Mia.

I think the sky balances the diagonal patterns of the grasses. I’ve not heard of tinted charcoal but I love the way you used it here

Looks great with colour Mia, I didn’t realise you could get tinted charcoal!

It's wondeful Mia! Such a good drawing and the colour looks just right.

Thank you all very, very much for your lovely comments. Yes, I also hardly used those tinted charcoal pencil, didn't know what to do with them exactly. Now I know!!! It is not very refined but maybe on a larger size than A4, it will allow more details. I certainly will give it a try.

Yesterday, while looking for my charcoal, I rediscovered a box with Derwent Tinted Charcoal pencils. They were hardly used. This is a landscape I posted a while ago made with Inktense pencils. Now, I remade it with the tinted charcoal pencils. I think I overdid it a lot in the sky. But it still is an enjoyable technique (a bit messy!).
