I've never used watercolour pencils either although I also have some in a drawer like you. The orchids look good to me but not as defined as your pen and wash which to be honest I prefer. That's possibly because of the rough paper as you say. Interesting for you to try them out though!

Just perfect, Mia. I love the texture that the pencils have given the painting and the colours used are superb.

Wonderful work Mia, such beautifully delicate Orchid flowers

This is absolutely stunning, Mia! I love the simple elegance of it all, and your composition is excellent.

I love the washes on this beautiful orchid Mia. Seok had the right words.....simple elegance.

Thank you very much Louise, Thea, Ros, Seok and Val. I am very glad that you think it is ok, I wasn't sure about the result.

I think that it's very lovely and delicate and beautifully drawn Mia!

Thanks Satu. Very much appreciated.

Thank you very much for your lovely comment, Gudrun.

I really like how the wash looks on rough paper, it gives it a really nice texture! Lovely colors too!

Thanks Jenny for your positive comment.

Beautiful work MIa, they look so delicate

Thank you very much, Glennis.

Lovely , I love these inktense pencils too.

Thanks Denise. I do not use those pencils very often. Maybe I should give it a try again.

After reading a thread on the Forum about Inktense watercolour pencils, I suddenly realised that I had some somewhere in a drawer. This is an attempt to make a painting using those lovely bright colour pencils. Because the paper was rather rough, the washing out is probably not what it should be. Thanks for having a look and maybe let me know what you think of this. :) Mia
