Thank you both for your comments. I love Scotland in the autumn - the colours are usually spectacular. What thrilled me was the way the light filtered through the trees. I've probably not done it justice but I'm going to keep trying!

Acrylic on Canvas - 50x20cms. I love painting on a black background as colours do tend to zing. Autumn is a favourite time of year for me (as is the Spring now I'm getting older!) I'm hoping to do a mini series of Scottish landscapes, this being the first, but it'll have to wait until I've completed my next 'sky' painting which I started yesterday. Being involved in a couple of exhibitions next year does rather focus the mind!
