Many thanks, Carole. I really struggled to get the right colour for the sand. I feel I'm just getting back into painting. Unlike others, lockdown hasn't done my painting any favours - I'm afraid the garden rather took me away from the easel!

Oil on Linen. 40 x 40 cms. Beach scenes are part of my history, as I've lived close to the coast for the best part of my life. It resonates with long days spent watching others paddling and swimming. As we lived so close to the beach we never took a picnic with us, always going home for meals.
