Love the bleak atmosphere Martin and the hint of oragne in the sky, very foreboding.

This is a superb painting & conveys danger & also a respect for mother nature! I wonder what sort of mood you were in when you did this Martin?

As you so often do, you've captured an atmosphere and sense of place.

Seven miles south of Melton Mowbray is Burrough Hill, one of the highest points of Leicestershire and the site of an Iron-age hill fort. The site commands fine views across the Wreake and Soar river valleys and across to the Charnwood forest and other Iron-age sites at Breedon and Bardon. Pen, ink wash and oil pastel on Bockingford watercolour paper. 15" x 22"
