A view looking north, with Burnsall and Thorpe Fell in the middle distance and the peak of 'Simon's Seat' on the far right. Bolton Abbey and Barden Tower are down in the Wharfedale valley below Simon's Seat. The autumnal colours tint the hillsides and a lone buzzard circles and soars ahead - an artist's delight! The line of the road across the moor can be made out by the telegraph poles on the lefthand side. Painted on location today in pen, ink, gouache and wax resist on Bockingford paper. 15" x 22"
