A beautiful painting, and great colours, can almost feel the wind blowing over the moor, I like the touch of blue in the foreground, can almost hear the water trickling.

Martin---- Thats a great painting mate--- I will even say magical

A stunning painting Martin.....lovely.

Striking work - I feel I could be (and ought to be) up there, marvelling at the landscape.

Gets my "WOWZA" vote!

Th sky is so dramatic and striking. I really like your contrasting tones in this beautiful painting Martin.

Painting inspired by a photo taken by fellow country-lover Pete Carr. I can't really say what it was about Pete's photo that caught my attention, other than the sense of space, air and the desolate, remote moorland. Arkengarthdale is the most northern of the Yorkshire Dales, the valley of the Arkle Beck. This is old leadmining country - a tough, unforgiving landscape where the haunting call of the curlew laments the passing of what was once a thriving industrial community. Acrylic on canvas. 50cm x 100cm.
