One of your recent paintings inspired me to get the painting knife out again - another good, strong painting; cerulean blue can be a bit of a sod to work with in my experience, so well done.

Out walking today with my good lady, on the fells above Burnsall and Hebden, deep in the Yorkshire Dales. Thick crusty snow and a crisp temperature of minus seven degrees Celsius helped inspire me to paint this on our return home this afternoon - an old dales barn above Hebden. I swapped my usual ultramarine for cerulean blue to create that unique, cold blue hue, thus my palette was cerulean blue, yellow ochre, crimson red, black and white. Acrylic on canvas. 50cm x 50cm.
