Bolton Abbey is a little village near Skipton, North Yorkshire and down on the edge of the river Wharfe where it bends and winds its lazy way through the valley sits the ruin of a priory. It is a hugely popular place for visitors, but you can escape the hustle and bustle in the woods and enjoy some superb views back across the river and the priory beyond.
