Another excellent pastel pet portrait Mark, your gallery is truly exceptional, having dabbled with pastels myself I know how difficult they can be, paper and type of pastels used are crucial I am now realising, you have no problems but I know that will not have come without a lot of practice, the eyes are always really strong in your portraits, I am thinking you use pastel pencil mostly to get the fine strokes

Wonderful gallery Mark, I also love using pastels but haven't used pastelmat...I don't know what it is either??? Your portraits are stunning, you capture the character beautifully.
