"Duke" German Shepherd (pastel)

This is a painting and not a photo? I am completely stunned; I've never seen such a beautiful dog painting. I am also a pet portrait artist and a dog owner/breeder but don't use pastel. This is just stunning; everything about it from the warmth of the colours to the detail of the collar; the true tongue colour; the glow of the amber eyes to the shadow on the tag. I have never coveted another artist's dog portraits but this is one I would be proud to own.

Just been to look at your portfolio and the others are good; especially the chocolate lab but this is absolutely outstanding.

I echo everything that Diana says. You are truly a master with pastels, they never cease to amaze me and give me something to aspire to.
